Day 197: Malachi 3:16

"Then those who feared the LORD spoke with each other, and the LORD listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name." ~Malachi 3:16, NLT

I like this verse because it shows that God is really listening to us. Not only is He listening, He's also speaking to us. In order for Him to speak with those who feared Him, both parties had to be communicating. He heard them, and did what they asked - wrote a scroll to remind and remember who belonged to Him.

It's like the book of life, this scroll seems to be. And if you accepted Jesus, your name's in that book. Your name is recorded, God cannot forget you, and He will listen to you when you cry out for help. So if you need assistance, don't forget to ask. God likes to give good gifts to those who ask for them.
