Often times, there's a cause-effect relationship in the world. It seems to be true biblically as well - if you sin, you die, if you accept and follow Jesus, your sins are forgiven, if you trust God, He'll save you.
The Lord declared it to a foreigner, and He's telling it to you - He'll save you from your fears, because you trust Him. As I've said before, He might not do it the way you may have wanted Him to, but He will save you.
