"Joshua said to them, Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the Lord will do to all the enemies you are going to fight." ~Joshua 10:25, NIV
Joshua as the leader of the people often repeated to them what his leader said to him. And since his leader was God, that ensured that what Joshua told his people was absolutely true.
God told us through Joshua, and He tells us again through Israel. Neither of the two were to allow fear to consume their hearts. In the verses preceding this one, Joshua was outlining the victory the Israelites were going to have.
No matter your battle, as long as God is behind it, you have no enemy, no attack, nothing to fear. Don't allow your fears to discourage you, let God give you strength, and courage to counteract your choices.
Or just make wise choices to begin with...
